Welcome to MassDOT Aeronautics APMS Insight

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) Aeronautics Division sponsored a statewide project to update the Airport Pavement Maintenance System (APMS) for 32 of the state’s 35 public-use airports. The project includes a comprehensive assessment of all pavement areas within the Airport Operations Area (AOA)—such as runways, taxiways, taxilanes, blast pads, perimeter roads, aprons, shoulders, and access roads—using Pavement Condition Index (PCI) inspections. The project supports compliance with FAA grant assurances No. 11 and No. 34 and will follow the latest FAA Advisory Circulars AC 150/5380-6, AC 150/5380-7, AC 150/5335-5, and ASTM standards D5340 and D6433. Results enclosed enable a network-level analysis of airport pavement conditions across the state. System includes inventory, condition, classification, and inspection data table. Airport Details contains inspection data include GIS mapping, inventory information, condition data, work history, and photographs. The CIP, Maintenance recommendations, and ACR-PCR results are also included.
